Dr. Crowley Correll

Caring for families in Charlotte for more than 20 years.

Creating Beautiful Smiles
Shot of our dentist Dr. Carolyn Crowley Correll smiling outdoors

Dr. Crowley Correll and her four brothers were raised in San Antonio, TX. She grew up in a medical family, as her mother was a nurse and her father is a gynecologic oncologist. Dr. Crowley Correll was married to a wonderful husband for eight years before he lost his battle with cancer, one that he fought with courage and grace. Together they have three daughters and one son.

Dr. Crowley Correll chose dentistry as her career as she wanted to use her creativity and work with her hands. Given that she has known the medical profession since childhood, she has always viewed the mouth as the window to the rest of the body. Helping people achieve oral health allows them to achieve greater well-being.

For many years, Dr. Crowley Correll has been recognized by her attention to detail and trustworthiness, along with her passion for helping patients improve their dental health. Her peers have acknowledged this by voting for her as Charlotte’s Top Dentist every year since 2008. She finds genuine fulfillment when working with her team, building caring relationships with her patients, and restoring oral health to those in need.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Crowley Correll spends her time scuba diving (her mother is a PADI Course Director), shopping, doing Pilates, and supporting her kids’ activities in sports and their school band.

Scuba Diving

Dr. Crowley Correll has been scuba diving since 1978 and is a PADI Rescue Diver. Her mother is a PADI Course Director and has taught most of their friends and her entire family including her ten grandchildren to scuba dive. She has traveled the undersea world with her friends and family and has a passion to explore.

Artist

Dr. Crowley Correll has a love for art, including sculpture, painting, and music. She spends time sculpting, painting, and has a love for music and the arts. She acknowledges that this gives her a better eye for smile design and the ability to provide an aesthetically pleasing smile to her patients.

Flavor of Ice Cream

If she were an ice cream flavor, Dr. Crowley Correll would be New York Super Fudge Chunk by Ben & Jerry’s. It’s creamy, chocolate, and sticky, with chunks of white chocolate. In other words, a variety of tastes and textures – just the way she likes life to be!

Mandy - Dental Hygienist

Born in Raleigh, Mandy was inspired to choose dentistry by her hygienist, who would tell her how much she loved her job and always seemed happy. She majored in Biology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she also played volleyball. Later on, she attended the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill for hygiene school and has been a full-time hygienist since 2002.

She is married and has a fun family of three boys who keep her busy.

For Mandy, one of the perks of her job is being with her co-workers all day as they are her second family. She also enjoys getting to know her patients and their families, many of whom she has known for more than fourteen years. She is well known for bringing fun into the office, pulling pranks, her laugh, and making the most out of each day.

In her spare time, Mandy runs her side “decal” business, works out, plays volleyball, and chases her three boys around!

Her hero is her mom. She was a single mother who never complained and always provided for her two daughters. Through her, Mandy learned that family, being kind, and having a relationship with Jesus are the most important things in life.

She looks forward to checking off a major ambition on her bucket list when she finally moves to the beach.

Shannon - Dental Hygienist

Shannon was born and raised in North Carolina and has lived in Monroe for more than 20 years. Here, she has reached her 22nd wedding anniversary and raised two lovely daughters.

When Shannon was young, she had a bad dental experience but, later on in life, she was inspired to pursue dentistry after meeting a great dental hygienist. This hygienist built a caring relationship with Shannon and changed her idea of what dentistry is all about.

Shannon went on to obtain her Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene degree in 2001 from CPCC.

For her, the best part of her job is being able to educate patients on oral care and she loves getting to know them as friends. She is known in the office for being a perfectionist and a real go-getter.

Outside of the office, Shannon enjoys taking care of her animals, spending time with her daughters at their sporting events, and going to the Oak Island beach.

In the future, she would love to go horseback riding in Scotland – it is on her bucket list.

Vicki - Dental Assistant

Originally from Upstate New York, Vicki has found her home in South Carolina with her husband Mike. They have three grown children and five wonderful grandchildren.

Vicki’s journey through dentistry began almost fifty years ago when she started working in a group dental practice, first as an assistant, and later as a front desk and appointment secretary. She was motivated to further her involvement in the field and became a dental assistant due to her aunt making patients’ visits to positive and enjoyable.

The best part of her job is the interaction she gets to have with our patients and our team on a daily basis. She is the “mom” of our office and is the official baker of goodies for all special occasions.

I had probably the best experience that one can possibly have at a dentist office today! The entire staff from reception to hygienist to dentist were all friendly professional and knowledgeable. I was impressed at how many questions they answered for me and all my options were fully explained. Wow!
